Dear Hearts isn’t it a blessing to know that salvation is free; that our sin debts have been paid in full, and is guaranteed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ? He has sealed us with his spirit, the Holy Ghost and he offers that gift to all freely! Glory to God! The power of darkness has been evicted from our lives and was destroyed by the very same spirit that resurrected Christ from the dead.
Colossians 1:12-13 (KJV)
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son…
Therefore we no longer have to live in the will of the flesh unto sin but we can live in the spirit unto righteousness. Those who are saved know that who the Son has set free is free indeed. We only need to look at what we used to be and what we have become in Jesus Christ to see the evidence of our liberty. Only God can make the impossible possible! He alone can transform a sinner into a saint and we as Christians can testify to that fact. Amen! Why pay eternal damnation for our sins when Jesus has paid the price so that we can have eternal life through salvation?
God went through death to bring forth life for you and me – for the whole world! He did it so that we can live in heaven with him for eternity. Jesus Christ our Savior is that great physician who has been healing the sin-sick soul and hearts of mankind for centuries. Today he is still filling prescriptions for those who want to be healed. There are no side effects that will cause us harm and he will gladly give refills to those who ask. All we have to do is call on his name, with a sincere heart, and ask the doctor for what we need.
It was Jesus who said, “They that are whole have no need of the physician but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous but the sinners to repentance.” (Mark 2:17)
So you see there is a cure for our sins. We don’t have to die in our sins. We can be set free from them! Dear hearts, Jesus is our Savior today but one day he will be our judge.
I heard a story of a young man who was drowning but a man saw him, jumped into the water and saved his life. As time went by this young man failed in life and eventually he had to go to court in order to be tried. His spirit was lifted when he recognized the judge – it was the same man who had saved him years before. He cried out, “Hey Judge, do you remember me? I’m the one you saved from drowning?!” The Judge looked at the young man and replied, “Yes son, I remember that I was your rescuer but today, I’m your judge.”
Dear hearts, one day it will be our turn to stand before the Judgment Seat of God. Jesus is our rescuer and he lives to save all souls from the penalty of death.
“When you have heard the Gospel, you’ve heard the greatest story ever told, about the greatest offer ever made, by the greatest person who ever lived!” – Corrie ten Boom
Why not take his offer today and live?
Have you any rivers you think aren’t crossable? Have you any mountains that you can’t tunnel through? God specializes in the things we call Impossible; He can do what no one else can do.
We here at ‘Saint in Training’ love you so dear but our Heavenly Father loves you dearer still. God bless and keep you and may heaven shine upon you.
