Strap Up Your Armor and Fight!

Dear Hearts we are living in perilous times and believers are being tested and tempted on every side now more than ever before. However this should come as no surprise for Satan declared war against the children of God centuries ago and he has no intentions of calling a ceasefire. His weapons of mass destruction can’t be seen with our natural eyes nor is there any earthly system designed that can detect his plans of attack.

Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The spiritual war that we are engaged in will continue until the Lord returns to rapture his church. It’s time for us to be aware, be wise, and be prepared and to be clothed in the whole armor of God. How can we be aware of Satan’s strategies if we are not aware of his tricks or be wise if we fail to study God’s word, or be prepared if we are not strapped in the whole armor of God?

We can’t!

Our heavenly Father has provided us with everything we need to fight the battle but it’s up to us to win the war.

We must understand the importance of wearing the whole amour of God in order to win the war that rages against us and to live victoriously in Christ.

The expression that says, “Little prayer, little power! Much prayer, much power! No prayer, no power!” is so very true. It is also true that knowledge is power yet, if we fail to study God’s word we won’t have the wisdom to know how to use the power successfully against the enemy’s never-ending assault tactics against us.

Satan hasn’t set a ‘break time’ on his clock. Thus it’s imperative that we live a Christ-centered life: it’s impossible for a part-time soldier to engage in a fulltime war. As soldiers in God’s army, our mission is to keep our eyes focused toward the Kingdom. Therefore we must be Kingdom minded. We are not to retreat from the battlefield; instead we must endure hardness as good soldiers until the war of this present age is over.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 NKJV

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God…”

God has made us more than conqueror’s in Christ Jesus who loves us. It’s time to strap up the armor and fight! Let’s put the amour of God on and not take it off! It is our protection against the Evil One.

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” (Ephesians 6:13-17 NIV)

The scripture encourages us to put on the whole amour of God. If we use wisdom by paying heed to the Word then no weapon formed against us shall prosper. (Isaiah 54:17) If we don’t, we are setting ourselves up for defeat.

No soldier who intends to win a war will go out onto the battlefield dressed in only part of his armor, neither should we.

Strap up beloved and get in the fight!

  1. Another Master piece. Praise God! I particularly like the phrase “it’s impossible for a part-time soldier to engage in a fulltime war.” May I borrow it?

    Keep up the great posts.
