The Fullness of Joy!

Photo by: Yogendra Joshi

These words took shape in my heart upon the contemplation of entering His gates:

I come here to praise Him and sing of His goodness,
I come here to dance and delight in His presence.

I dance and rejoice and lift my voice so very high.
I shout and give Him glory to draw my Savior nigh.

In my heart is a fullness that makes me so complete;
It prompts me to lift my hands and stand to my feet!

I cannot contain this joy I have deep inside;
I smile and my heart burst as His spirit passes by.

His glory is here, in His temple among the saints;
I come here to dwell in His blessed holiness.

Oh Father I stretch uplifted hands toward thee,
No other god will I ever set before me.

You are real, you are good, You are my everything!
You are my love; You are my God and my anointed King!

I come into Your house to fellowship with You;
When I open the door You occupy the room.

In Your presence is freedom, forgiveness and love.
I come here to worship You my blessed God above.

Bless the Lord O Zion, Bless His holy name forever!

You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11

Let Every Thing That Has Breath!

I woke up this morning with a song on my lips, “Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, let everything that has breath praise the Lord, from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, let everything that has breath – Praise the Lord!”

Isn’t it good to praise the Lord? Isn’t it right to do so every day? “Oh rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 I’m heading out to worship service looking to praise the Lord, praying for deliverance for the saints of God, for salvation for the sinner, repentance for the backslider and joy for the oppressed. I’m excited about what God is doing in my life and I want to impart encouragement to those of you who are not able to make it to the House of the Lord today, you can praise Him right where you are. For the lord dwells in the midst of the praises of His people.

Here are your choir selections:

Here’s your text: Psalm 150

1 Praise the LORD.

Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
2 Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
4 praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
5 praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.

6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

Praise the LORD.
